For one weekend every year, queer women and allies from all over the world flock to Palm Springs, California. Why, you ask? The warm sunshine? The beautiful palm trees? Sure all that's great, but what everyone’s really there for is Club Skirt’s Dinah Shore Weekend aka “The Dinah.” It’s basically queer lady Spring Break jam-packed with music, pool parties, celebrities, comedy, and of course women who like women. The 5-day long party will take place April 3-7 at the Hilton Hotel & Spa.

This year, the Dinah will be celebrating it’s 29th anniversary. The event was first created by Mariah Hanson to celebrate, unite, and empower women. Eventually the concept evolved into the largest queer female festival in the world, drawing women from all over. In keeping with the spirit of empowering women, Mariah and the Dinah are involved in numerous charitable causes. This year the focus will be on the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

The Dinah lineup is out and truly has something for everyone. Musical guests this year include Grammy Award winner Daya, Bri Steves, Leikeli47, Dorian Electra, Kodie Shane, Kiana Ledé, and Diiamon'd Royalty. If you need a break from the partying and want to get some good laughs in, check out scheduled comedians Fortune Feimster and Chaunte Wayans. Both women have appeared in feature films and on hit TV shows across major networks, collaborating with the likes of Chelsea Handler and Katt Williams, and releasing stand up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. There will also be some celebrity appearances by NFL Coach Katie Sowers, Big Brother’s Kaycee Clark, Bad Girls Club’s Kat Florek, and The Real L Word’s Rose Garcia.
